ABOUT ROLFE SCHNUR
Rolfe Schnur's career in motorsports started in New Jersey at the Flemington Speedway as a weekly writer for Area Auto Racing News in 1980. His motorsports journey has included a stint as a car owner in the DIRT Modified Series for 9 years and as the Director of Marketing at the Flemington Speedway.
In 1990 he moved south to pursue his goal of designing and creating creative marketing and sponsorship programs. In 1992, Rolfe teamed with female Busch Grand National Driver Shawna Robinson to create the Polaroid Racing Program that solidified Polaroid business with retailers and helped launch the Polaroid Captiva product.
In 1995, Rolfe and Japanese driver Kenji Momota teamed to form a Craftsman Truck Series effort which proved to be a public relations bonanza. The program included all marketing, PR and sponsorship efforts for the 1st Japanese NASCAR driver.
In late 1995, Rolfe joined the EasyCare Motorsports program which proved to be a very successful B2B venture. The EasyCare program called SSG, had racers introducing EasyCare to car dealers where they did not sell their product. At the height of the program over 150 dealers were a part of the program that brought the Atlanta based firm significant revenue.
The program included a strong relationship with Joe Gibbs Racing. While serving as National Director of Motorsports Marketing for the firm Rolfe began his career as a seminar speaker with featured speaker status for NASCAR, IHRA, 600 Racing, DIRT Motorsports, The Drag Racing Promoters Workshop and Strategic Research Institute at the Lowe's Motor Speedway.
From 2006 to 2009 Rolfe and his staff ran the Future Stars in Racing Training and Development Academy which taught young drivers the marketing, PR, public speaking and media skills they need to learn to be successful in racing.
After a few years pursuing other interests Rolfe landed back in motorsports forming Rolfe Schnur Motorsports Marketing. Since 2011, Rolfe has been active in working and training some pf the top young talent in all areas of driver development. 2016 looks to be the best year for the Concord, North Carolina company.
